Since it’s almost carnival season (but has been postponed until further notice), I will take you to trip down memory lane with me in last years celebration! Batabano Carnival  is an annual festival held in the Cayman Islands every month of May. The island is home to more than a hundred nationalities, most (if not all) of which participate in light of community spirit. It is a cultural celebration filled with music, dance, food, costumes, heritage and culture, and ofcourse booze! lol. It is a pretty young carnival that has only been going on for 30 years (thanks to Rotary Club!) This week has been pretty mundane, nothing much about me. How about you? The things that kept me busy all week are errands for my workplace and mostly games. The island has been responding very positively on the restrictions set up by the government to prevent the spread of the virus (e.g. curfew, essential business operations, last name protocol, etc). They have been doing an feedback session every two weeks, and when circumstances are getting better, restrictions are being gradually lifted. Majority of the population are obedient with the policies in place that’s why we are now only on suppression level 3, coming from maximum suppression! Great job Cayman! Hi friends! It’s been a while. So many things has happened since I last checked in. First and foremost, congratulations to me – I passed CSC Vol. 1 Exam! I started studying for Vol. 2 immediately after though. I know, boo! It feels like its never going to end bubu!! but I’m giving myself until next year before my wedding to complete my certifications. It has been a very busy start of the month for me! First off, I tried to do this thing called “Keto” diet. I signed up for a meal plan that costs $670/month. Breakfast and lunch/dinner will be delivered daily, 100% Keto compliant, prepped by a renowned chef on island. I thought it was going to be easy. I recently discovered a Netflix series called “Billions” (I know I’m late! Almost everyone in my workplace watched it years ago). I was amazed by the series because it provides great detail about the investment industry. I’ve watched many series where the main characters are doctors, art curators, book editors/publishers, and physicists, but never one about a portfolio manager. So, you can imagine my excitement when I finally found a series representing my profession.
