Mundane Moments

Hey everyone! How was your week? Mine has been pretty hectic, a lot of changes in my workplace and I had to take on a big responsibility all of a sudden. I spend my 7 hours at work fully and productively. After work I roam around West Bay and George Town to practice my driving skills, and do some errands every now and then. Sometimes I feel like all I ever do is work, eat, and sleep! Anyway, back to what I was saying, my mentor resigned effective immidiately before I was fully trained so I had to take on the responsibility earlier than expected, with support only from the offshore team. This week has been pretty mundane, nothing much about me. How about you? The things that kept me busy all week are errands for my workplace and mostly games. The island has been responding very positively on the restrictions set up by the government to prevent the spread of the virus (e.g. curfew, essential business operations, last name protocol, etc). They have been doing an feedback session every two weeks, and when circumstances are getting better, restrictions are being gradually lifted. Majority of the population are obedient with the policies in place that’s why we are now only on suppression level 3, coming from maximum suppression! Great job Cayman! I’m so terrible at keeping my blog active, na tru? A lot has been going on quite recently. Apart from still learning about my current role in my new workplace, I am also studying for 4 upcoming exams: CSC 1, CSC 2, CPH, and Options/Derivatives. I’ve mentioned this numerous times in the past and I know I sound like a broken record because that’s about the only thing I ever talk about! But really — I work from 8:30am-4:30pm, study on lunch breaks, attend study group session from 4:30PM to 7PM, every single day. Hi friends! Last Friday I flew to Jamaica with the purpose of applying for US B1/B2 visa.  If you are wondering why I had to leave Cayman Islands, well that is because there is no US embassy here and the nearest one is in Kingston. My trip was only supposed to be over the weekend, but it turned out to be an entire week because… life happens! Right before I left, I was already feeling lethargic and called in sick from work. I’ve never been on a party bus before EVER – so imagine my excitement when I found out that Star FM is hosting a halloween bus party! There are 4 buses, 4 mystery stops (with games & missions), and 1 exclusive after party! Starting point is at the courtyard across the radio station in George Town and where the bus is going?
