I am a “bayer” now, that’s what they say. Although my daddy was originally from East End, I am spending the rest of my conscious life here on the west side. It is the most populous district on island and “troublemakers” live here. It’s not as ugly as you think it is though, there are a lot of good places (especially restaurants!) you can safely hangout with friends in here. It was a lazy day last weekend so I decided to go to ironshore and just chill. I’m spending it here in Jamaica with my husband, in his hometown. It’s a little extra special this year because tomorrow also happens to be our first wedding anniversary. Getting here was a bit hectic. I worked from 8:30AM until 3:30PM yesterday, rushed to the airport for our 5:30PM flight, landed and cleared immigration by 7:30PM, picked up the rental car, and then drove another 2.5 hours — well, he drove not me lol It was my husband’s first time seeing his brother in a while, and his mom is also visiting at the same time (she’s based in the U.S.), so we ended up hanging out late. Hey guys! How have you been? It’s been a while! *blows dust off this blog* I have been surprisingly busy the past few days especially with work. The economy is slowly getting back on its feet in this side of the world. In response to COVID-19 crisis, the Cayman Islands government has allowed residents, regardless of age, to withdraw at least 25% of their pensions. Guess what happened? Locals are shopping now more than ever and spending tons of their money on new stuff such as home renovations, appliances, air conditioning, and what not.
