Life lately

I have been back and forth to the hospital the past few days and I haven’t been feeling my best self lately. I’ve been to the emergency room twice and boy I tell you, how lonely it is to be in a hospital bed alone with all those beeping machines and people in pain all over the place. I even witnessed an ambulance coming in with person who just drowned and soaking wet. Anyway, I’m not sure if my condition is due to stress, home-sickness, or change in weather and fatty foods whatever – but don’t worry I am recovering. One thing I know for sure — medical bills are not a joke so everyone please don’t take your health for granted! and when I say health, not just your physical well-being but also your mental state.

I don’t know how I will celebrate Christmas though. I’d like to be alone but since this island is so laid back everything is closed on that day. Where do I go? I have no plans yet — what do you think?

As I was driving back home today, I found myself humming the tune of Oh My Angel. It is the official soundtrack of the Angel’s Last Mission: Love. The melody brought back all the emotions I felt while watching the series. It was such a peaceful drive back home, and I couldn’t help but appreciate the little things that make life worth living. It dawned on me that sometimes, all it takes is a moment to slow down, enjoy the view, and sing a nice song. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget to be present in the moment. That’s why today, I’d like to share with you the simple and mundane things that make me…

Can we still blog about our mundane lives?

I was at work having lunch earlier today, I was browsing through my bloglist, and I came across this article entitled Is there still a place for personal blog posts? The moment I saw the title I was like, how can you read my mind?! I was thinking the exact same thing. When I started blogging years ago, the blogs I follow are purely personal. Whenever I visit their page I feel like I was reading someone else’s diary. It was so therapeutic indulging in their thoughts. I felt like I had a genuine connection with them even though I was just a silent reader and don’t really comment. Fast forward to today, majority of them stopped writing because I guess they have matured, and…

    First time in Tokyo, Japan

This trip to Japan was so unexpected. Me, my husband, my mom, my uncle, and my auntie all ended up going together. Thereโ€™s been a lot of drama with my mom lately, and I just wanted to take her somewhere new, somewhere she could breathe for a bit. I also havenโ€™t seen my cousin in years, so I thought, why not visit her in Tokyo? Then I invited my uncle and auntie too, hoping we could all have a happy, peaceful vacation as a family. I only had three weeks of vacation left for the year. I already used one week in Jamaica back in May and another week in Manila, so this basically gives me one week in Japan and one week in Korea…

What happened in Miami last year?

It’s that time of the month again, Halloween! This day last year I was on an adventure in Miami by myself. I was feeling nostalgic so I rummaged through my old blog and found this post about my trip. Definitely enjoyed my solitude in this one. This has been a long overdue post but Iโ€™d like to share with you some snippets of my short but sweet trip to Miami! I went there alone last Halloween, and stayed mostly in South Beach, at Freehand Miami Hotel. The beach was good but since I dunno how to swim, I wasnโ€™t able to dip in for a long time. Instead, I enjoyed the hotel amenities (it was hippy by the way and very millienial!) and ofcourse did…

  • My Holidays 2021

Hey everyone! I know it’s been a long time…. ์˜ค๋žœ๋งŒ์ด์—์š”. I tweaked my blog a little bit here and there, did you notice any changes? lol. I’m writing to you now here at the comfort of my home with a nice and warm cup of coffee. Ah, it’s a good life. Many of us fail to appreciate this, the beauty of the mundane. Anyway, I have a lot of catching up to do since my last update! The last 2 months of 2021. November, actually, is my favorite month. I love Halloween. I like dressing up in costumes and watching others dress up as well. This year, I suggested for a Halloween party in my workplace and it was granted about a week and a…

    Motherhood

Since I got pregnant and gave birth, I pretty much abandoned this blog. What a shame, honestly. This used to be my little diary, my safe space on the internet. But I guess Iโ€™m in a new era now, and any tiny pocket of free time I get, I just choose sleep. Or at least lying down and staring at the ceiling in silence. Having a baby is no joke. I have a whole new level of respect for all the moms out there, especially the single moms. This is hard. And thatโ€™s coming from someone who has so much support: a stable job with maternity benefits, a loving husband, and a supermom who will take over baby duties the moment I say โ€œMama, Iโ€™m…
