Life lately

I have been back and forth to the hospital the past few days and I haven’t been feeling my best self lately. I’ve been to the emergency room twice and boy I tell you, how lonely it is to be in a hospital bed alone with all those beeping machines and people in pain all over the place. I even witnessed an ambulance coming in with person who just drowned and soaking wet. Anyway, I’m not sure if my condition is due to stress, home-sickness, or change in weather and fatty foods whatever – but don’t worry I am recovering. One thing I know for sure — medical bills are not a joke so everyone please don’t take your health for granted! and when I say health, not just your physical well-being but also your mental state.

I don’t know how I will celebrate Christmas though. I’d like to be alone but since this island is so laid back everything is closed on that day. Where do I go? I have no plans yet — what do you think?

    Discover Camana Bay

As mentioned in my previous blog post, I recently got a job at my dream company, a Swiss bank. It is located at one of Grand Cayman’s hot spots for tourists, Camana Bay. I remember my first visit there as a tourist, it almost felt like I’m back in Bonifacio Global City. The location is very aesthetic and it houses almost every essential establishment you could think of. There is a bookstore, numerous restaurants and cafe’s, clinics, cinema for leisure, mini gardens for picnic, and ofcourse the Fosters (the grocery store) is just a few steps away.  Definitely, having your workplace there is such a privilege. The entire location has state of the art facilities especially the security and data centre. Most companies there are wealth…

    Life Update: Week 2

Hey everyone, how have you been? To be honest, my week was somehow mediocre. It is not necessarily unproductive, but it isn’t as productive as I would like it to be as well. Unlike most people, I physically go to work every other day, and when I’m not, I’m either doing house chores, groceries, or bank runs. I thought everything was okay, until yesterday. To my surprise, I had a really bad panic attack. I thought I stopped having those a long time ago? It has gotten worse from how it used to be before. I was just having my dinner, and the next thing I know I was crying over my food, catching my breath; my hands numb and shaking. I had no idea…

    Fun day with my angels

I feel like my insomnia is a symptom of something more serious. I’ve been restless for weeks now. I am already on Zopiclone and Zoloft yet I feel like none of them are working? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I feel so dry, nothing seems to be interesting to me anymore. I even went as far as googling “how to find new hobbies” lol I’m desperate. I guess it really hit me when my friend said blogging is a waste of time and that she can’t fathom why I would want to share my personal business online. I’ve been blogging since 2006 and somehow this has been my “hobby”… and the first time I opened it up to my friend she said she is never going to read it….

    Busy bee?

It has been a very busy start of the month for me! First off, I tried to do this thing called “Keto” diet. I signed up for a meal plan that costs $670/month. Breakfast and lunch/dinner will be delivered daily, 100% Keto compliant, prepped by a renowned chef on island. I thought it was going to be easy. I thought all I had to do was eat whatever they provide me everyday. I had no idea it was going to be this excruciatingly difficult! On my third day, I started feeling nauseous and lethargic. It almost felt like the withdrawal I had when I stopped my SSRIs abruptly. My coworker said that when she did it strictly for the first time, she felt like she…

How to ace your Cayman Islands driver’s theory test

Hey you all! I’ve recently passed my Cayman Island’s written driver’s exam. I wasn’t a driver before I came here so I have no prior knowledge of road rules. It only took me 15 minutes to finish the test on my first try! Most people I know have been warning me on how difficult the exam is and that they had to retake it atleast 3 to 4 times. To be honest it wasn’t hard at all, and your odds of passing just depends on how prepared you are before the exam. For those who are planning to take it, today is your lucky day! I’m going to share with you some tips on how you can not only pass, but actually nail it on…

    Catching up

Hey! Just in case you are wondering, I’m doing okay. Yesterday I went out on a lunch with my nephew at a Vivo Restaurant in West Bay, five minutes away from my workplace. It’s my first time eating vegan and I must say it’s not that bad. It’s just costly lol. I’m starting to focus on holistic recovery for myself. I recently enrolled in Yoga classes (Yin and Vinyasa) and I’m trying to condition my mind to always have a positive outlook in life. I cut-off almost all my social media presence (except twitter and blogspot) and it is doing me good mentally so far. I have also engrossed myself over Crash Landing On You, you guys should watch it too! It’s a K-drama with…
