Catching up

Hey! Just in case you are wondering, I’m doing okay. Yesterday I went out on a lunch with my nephew at a Vivo Restaurant in West Bay, five minutes away from my workplace. It’s my first time eating vegan and I must say it’s not that bad. It’s just costly lol.

I’m starting to focus on holistic recovery for myself. I recently enrolled in Yoga classes (Yin and Vinyasa) and I’m trying to condition my mind to always have a positive outlook in life.

I cut-off almost all my social media presence (except twitter and blogspot) and it is doing me good mentally so far. I have also engrossed myself over Crash Landing On You, you guys should watch it too! It’s a K-drama with a lot of life lessons and revelations about North Korea.
Anyway that’s it for now — It’s 5:30pm, I’m about to go home and binge watch you know what!

Let me end this post with a smiling face~

    Coffee & Connect: Week 1

It’s Sunday. We made it through the week! So let me ask you something, how have you been? Well in my case, it’s a pretty normal week but a little more productive than the last one. Let me share my activities with you in bullets. Monday Went to work, nothing new except a ton of paperwork. Our business has been classified as “essential” so I spent some time to work in the office. Went home pretty early and played Mobile Legends with my friends. Watched Community on Netflix (already watched this when I was in college but it’s such a great sitcom I don’t mind rewatching it over and over again!) Started reading The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. Thanks for the recommendation Anika! Tuesday Impulsively…

Toronto Day 4: Winter Village at the Distillery District and St. Lawrence Market

I thought I was completely prepared for my trip. It was only on the third day that I realized I badly needed a moisturizer. I had no idea that the cold weather could dry my skin so badly! I noticed bumps on my skin and my lips began to crack. I quickly realized that it was because of the chilly, dry breeze. As someone who has never lived in a winter climate, I didn’t know this could happen. Fortunately, I was able to purchase Mugwort Essence and Cream from the brand “I’m From” at Sukoshi Mart in Eaton Centre. After using it for just one night, my skin felt hydrated and refreshed. I appreciated that it didn’t leave a sticky feeling like some other moisturizers…

Are we in the age of scarcity?

Few weeks ago Iโ€™ve read this article called โ€œBetting on the Planetโ€. Itโ€™s a very interesting debate between an ecologist, Paul Ehrlich, and an economist, Julian Simon, regarding environmental issues. You may access the file here. My thoughts were divided after reading the article. On one side, I am in favor of what Paul Ehrlich has to say. However, most of what I had in mind agrees with Julian Simon. Growing up, I was exposed to a lot of environmental issues. Almost all activities we had in high school concerned the preservation of the planet. We were trained to reuse, reduce and recycle. We were shown educational videos about how we, human beings, are slowly ruining our own home. Global warming was a hot topic, and almost…

  • Cheers to 2022!

Happy new year everybody! This is my first post of 2022! How exciting is that? Did you know that I was in the blogosphere since I was in high school… like around 2006ish… 15 years ago! Although ofcourse I kept changing my handle and kept evolving in content that’s why I’m always like a ๋ˆ„๊ตฌ to this world lol. A lot of the lifestyle bloggers I knew back then has stopped writing… and moved on with their lives. I wish I could still stay in that era that inspired me a lot to write. Quite frankly majority of the blogs I come across these days are all for making $$$ off content, building a brand, improving SEO and all that jazz. I genuinely hope I come…

  • Wedding bells and concert thrills

    Wedding bells and concert thrills

Preparing for a wedding can be a lot of work, and it has certainly been no exception for me. Over the past few months, I have been planning the event on a granular level. It has been more exhausting than I anticipated, especially since the wedding will take place in the Philippines, and I am currently in Cayman. With so much to do and so little time, I put my Derivatives course on hold to ensure I had enough time to prepare for the big day. I want to ensure everything is in place for the wedding, and I can’t wait to see all my hard work come to fruition in a few weeks! Secondly, I have been watching a new reality TV show on…

    Catching up

Hi everyone, I’m writing to you now as a means of catching up for last month. I know a lot has been happening around the world especially in my home country, which makes me appreciate how privileged and blessed I am to be living here where the pandemic has been handled pretty well. I hope you guys are holding on. Anyway, last month has been (and I can’t stress this enough) HECTIC, in multiple facets of my life. Work per se has been voluminous,  CFA reviews and networking, home renovations, and finally launching our own business! All of that happened simultaneously in March. You can say yes I have been productive, but I have also abandoned a lot of other things like this blog, and…
