Fun day with my angels

I feel like my insomnia is a symptom of something more serious. I’ve been restless for weeks now. I am already on Zopiclone and Zoloft yet I feel like none of them are working? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I feel so dry, nothing seems to be interesting to me anymore. I even went as far as googling “how to find new hobbies” lol I’m desperate. I guess it really hit me when my friend said blogging is a waste of time and that she can’t fathom why I would want to share my personal business online. I’ve been blogging since 2006 and somehow this has been my “hobby”… and the first time I opened it up to my friend she said she is never going to read it. I guess I expected support too much too soon. Sadly, it sucked the soul out of me since last week. I feel like the only thing I enjoy seems to be so pointless too. I couldn’t care any less if it came from a stranger, but I guess it hurts when it comes from a friend? ๐Ÿ‘Ž

Anyway! Enough Debby Downer!
Yesterday, I promised the kids we’ll do something fun since it’s been a while since we all hung out together! Yaz, this is my squad! I love being them! They are unapologetically honest, fashion forward, NO DRAMA, and fun!
We went to Strike Zone in Canon Place to play laser tag! Ofcourse the adults beat the kids, boohoo! After two rounds we went to Camana Bay to hangout over ice cream, and had a slumber when we got home! Phew what a tiring (and expensive ๐Ÿ’ธ) day for me!
Can’t believe it’s Monday again tomorrow… where did the weekend go?!

    Motherhood

Since I got pregnant and gave birth, I pretty much abandoned this blog. What a shame, honestly. This used to be my little diary, my safe space on the internet. But I guess Iโ€™m in a new era now, and any tiny pocket of free time I get, I just choose sleep. Or at least lying down and staring at the ceiling in silence. Having a baby is no joke. I have a whole new level of respect for all the moms out there, especially the single moms. This is hard. And thatโ€™s coming from someone who has so much support: a stable job with maternity benefits, a loving husband, and a supermom who will take over baby duties the moment I say โ€œMama, Iโ€™m…

Ocho Rios Day 1: Fern Gully, Rio Cobre, Mahogany Beach

Ahh, where do I even begin? Maybe with this: I think I have to come to terms with the fact that now that Iโ€™m older, I get tired so easily. Like, why does waking up early feel like a personal attack on my energy levels? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway, we were up bright and early to pack and start the drive from Clarendon to Ocho Rios. If you didnโ€™t know, Ocho Rios is one of Jamaicaโ€™s most famous tourist spotsโ€”known for its waterfalls, lush greenery, and beach-meets-jungle vibe. Think tropical getaway, but with more culture and spice. My brother-in-law suggested we take the Spanish Town bypass instead of the usual route because of the potholes (seriously, Jamaicaโ€™s roads can humble even the best shock absorbers!). And honestly?…

Hurricane Season in Cayman: Staying Safe and Finding Solace in K-Dramas

The hurricane season has started. Last week, we received a national advisory that a category four hurricane named Beryl was headed our way. This caused a lot of anxiety on the island, with everyone rushing to stock up on groceries and board their windows with plywood. Some might say we were overreacting, but those people probably hadn’t experienced the devastation of Hurricane Ivan. Although I wasn’t there, I’ve heard stories from friends and even my husband, who experienced it firsthand. Since then, the locals have been more alert and take extra precautions during hurricane season. It’s always better to be prepared and have nothing happen than vice versa. The government now requires new houses to be built according to specific guidelines to ensure they can…

    Life Update: Week 4

Hey, how are you? Life update: I finally got to drive my car on the main road for the very first time yesterday. As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently got my driver’s license. It was nerve wracking but such a learning experience. The tip professionals would always tell me, assume that everybody else on the road doesn’t know what they’re doing. That way you’ll be more alert and cautious. Kind of helpful thinking that I am the smartest driver on the road lol. Weekends are always chill and slow for me nowadays, thankfully, unlike before where I work on Saturdays and  then do all my chores on Sundays. Can you believe? no more rest day left for me. For two years I…

Passing my exams and trip to Toronto

I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed my Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook! It was an incredible journey. As part of my job, I have to process trades, so taking these courses was mandatory. It is a major milestone for my career, and I have gained so much knowledge. I am grateful for the support from my workplace in pursuing further education. It took me a total of six months to finish both courses. Although some people manage to complete everything in less time, I wanted to ensure I truly understood the concepts instead of just memorizing for the exams. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it! If you are planning to take the exams, here…

  • Walt Disney World

    Walt Disney World

I went to Orlando Christmas last last year to do some shopping and went to Disney World while I’m there. My trip was only for three days and there was nothing much to do in such a short span of time. My goal really was just to spend some time away from the island and buy reasonably priced clothing among other things. I remember arriving on the 23rd of December and leaving on the 26th. I have come to realize that shopping in the USA at this time of the year, apart from Black Friday, is not a good idea — mainly because everywhere is packed with people and almost all stores are already empty! So in the end, I had barely bought anything lol…
