Last December 6, my workplace held our annual Christmas party at Ristorante Papagallo in West Bay. Luckily for me, it’s close to where I live, and I wasn’t part of the planning committee this year. No running around, no stressing about venues, and no last-minute logistics on my plate. A small but very appreciated win. Last year’s party was at the Kimpton, and while I don’t think I was officially on the planning committee then either, I still worked closely with the team that handled all of that. So this year felt… lighter. I moved into my new role back in August, and so far it’s been both exciting and challenging. I’m now working with the sales team, which means I’m learning the income-generating side…

I feel like my insomnia is a symptom of something more serious. I’ve been restless for weeks now. I am already on Zopiclone and Zoloft yet I feel like none of them are working? 😩 I feel so dry, nothing seems to be interesting to me anymore. I even went as far as googling “how to find new hobbies” lol I’m desperate. I guess it really hit me when my friend said blogging is a waste of time and that she can’t fathom why I would want to share my personal business online. I’ve been blogging since 2006 and somehow this has been my “hobby”… and the first time I opened it up to my friend she said she is never going to read it….

Hi everyone, I’m writing to you now as a means of catching up for last month. I know a lot has been happening around the world especially in my home country, which makes me appreciate how privileged and blessed I am to be living here where the pandemic has been handled pretty well. Hey everyone, how are you? Today, I’m going to take you to a trip down memory lane when I was still in Manila celebrating the 2017 Pride Parade. This was my first time attending such event and I must say I had so much fun. I’ve never been to a parade this colorful and diverse. There were fun games, merch booths, food stalls, and live performances from well-known personalities. Not to mention the music was booming for 12 hours straight, so there were no dull moments. For those who are not familiar with the Pride Parade, it is a celebration of diversity, inclusion, social and self acceptance, legal rights, and pride for our LGBTQ community. Since it’s almost carnival season (but has been postponed until further notice), I will take you to trip down memory lane with me in last years celebration! Batabano Carnival  is an annual festival held in the Cayman Islands every month of May. The island is home to more than a hundred nationalities, most (if not all) of which participate in light of community spirit. It is a cultural celebration filled with music, dance, food, costumes, heritage and culture, and ofcourse booze! lol. It is a pretty young carnival that has only been going on for 30 years (thanks to Rotary Club!) The highlight of the festival is the street parade composed of masquerade bands and *drumroll please…..* exotic costumes! Last years parade started from the Seven…
