    Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park

I’ve always wanted to visit this tourist attraction ever since I came to the island but never really got the chance to do so because I live on the other side. I’m not a green thumb or a plant/flower enthusiast but I love going to botanic parks because of a lot of prospective subject to practice my macro photography. It is also a nice place to unwind, have a quick stroll, and appreciate nature in its most natural form. Last week, after so many self persuasions I finally decided to get up and get ready on a Saturday morning to go to North Side and enjoy Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. It was very humid unfortunately so I ended up sweating all over throughout the…

Five things you probably didn’t know about me

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I want you to get to know me a little bit better. I can be quite private in a way that I don’t really like putting myself out there, but this time I’m going out of my shell for a bit and share some of myself. This is part of my Coffee & Connect series where I talk about personal stuff, so you can check out the other posts if you are curious. โ˜บ Let’s begin! #1. When asked, I always introduce myself as full Filipino  I was born and raised in the Philippines by my Filipino mom. Technically I am only 50%, but the way I think, speak, and act are all 100% Filipino. Even my accent would give me away. Nothing…

  • Discover Camana Bay

    Discover Camana Bay

As mentioned in my previous blog post, I recently got a job at my dream company, a Swiss bank. It is located at one of Grand Cayman’s hot spots for tourists, Camana Bay. I remember my first visit there as a tourist, it almost felt like I’m back in Bonifacio Global City. The location is very aesthetic and it houses almost every essential establishment you could think of. There is a bookstore, numerous restaurants and cafe’s, clinics, cinema for leisure, mini gardens for picnic, and ofcourse the Fosters (the grocery store) is just a few steps away.  Definitely, having your workplace there is such a privilege. The entire location has state of the art facilities especially the security and data centre. Most companies there are wealth…

  • Rainy day

    Rainy day

From the title itself. I love rainy days. It calms me. It’s like the universe telling me to relax, everything is going to okay. The cool and breezy temperature; island people need a break from summer too. Anyway, a lot has changed since I’ve last written in this blog. It’s been more than a month since I was present here.  Even the Blogspot interface has changed lol. I moved out of my old place, I’ve left my job, and after a month I’m finally starting a career at my dream workplace — a Swiss Bank. Phew. Such a life development. I am looking forward to a better work environment, supportive colleagues, and weekends finally! I can’t believe I’m having my weekends off again after two…

  • Quick update

    Quick update

Hey guys! How have you been? It’s been a while! *blows dust off this blog* I have been surprisingly busy the past few days especially with work. The economy is slowly getting back on its feet in this side of the world. In response to COVID-19 crisis, the Cayman Islands government has allowed residents, regardless of age, to withdraw at least 25% of their pensions. Guess what happened? Locals are shopping now more than ever and spending tons of their money on new stuff such as home renovations, appliances, air conditioning, and what not. As you may all know, I work at an air conditioning and appliance business so sales has been crazy like it’s the holiday season. Can you imagine, in some parts of…

    7 things I learned at 26

I am now officially 26 years old. Yesterday was my birthday. But what does that even mean? The earth revolved around the sun 26 times since I was born? I guess as I grow older every year I also get less sentimental and more realistic. This year, celebrations don’t really matter much. I prefer spending the day in peace rather than in big crowd of people with a lot of small talks. I am bad at small talks. I am awkward and timid and don’t know what to say. This year and last year has been the most challenging and fruitful at the same time for me. I embarked on a new journey, alone, tried to do things out of my comfort zone even though…
