Hell yeah it’s 2023!

Hi friends! It’s been a while. So many things has happened since I last checked in. First and foremost, congratulations to me – I passed CSC Vol. 1 Exam! I started studying for Vol. 2 immediately after though. I know, boo! It feels like its never going to end bubu!! but I’m giving myself until next year before my wedding to complete my certifications. To be quite honest,  there has been a lot of instances where I question myself…is this really the career I want? It is too late to switch? Don’t get me wrong, the moolah is good…  but it is very exhausting. Sometimes I straight up feel like I’m wasting my life with this. I don’t feel any sense of fulfilment. It’s not…

Checking in today. This blog always lingers in the back of my mind, and even though I keep telling myself I’ll write something, I often don’t. Is it that I’m getting older, or is it just that my energy drains faster these days? I promised I’d keep this space alive so I can one day look back and see how life was—even if it’s the little things. I’ve said it before, but it still feels true: so much has been changing around me. Am I getting older faster than I thought? Lately, I’ve been struggling to manage my emotions and behavior. I haven’t been great at recognizing what stresses me out, or how to stop taking everything so personally. And let’s not even talk about…

Since it’s almost carnival season (but has been postponed until further notice), I will take you to trip down memory lane with me in last years celebration! Batabano Carnival  is an annual festival held in the Cayman Islands every month of May. The island is home to more than a hundred nationalities, most (if not all) of which participate in light of community spirit. It is a cultural celebration filled with music, dance, food, costumes, heritage and culture, and ofcourse booze! lol. It is a pretty young carnival that has only been going on for 30 years (thanks to Rotary Club!) The highlight of the festival is the street parade composed of masquerade bands and *drumroll please…..* exotic costumes! Last years parade started from the Seven…

Last December 6, my workplace held our annual Christmas party at Ristorante Papagallo in West Bay. Luckily for me, it’s close to where I live, and I wasn’t part of the planning committee this year. No running around, no stressing about venues, and no last-minute logistics on my plate. A small but very appreciated win. Last year’s party was at the Kimpton, and while I don’t think I was officially on the planning committee then either, I still worked closely with the team that handled all of that. So this year felt… lighter. I moved into my new role back in August, and so far it’s been both exciting and challenging. I’m now working with the sales team, which means I’m learning the income-generating side…

Hey how is everyone doing? It’s been busy as usual for me, with work, business, errands, trying to get fit and a bunch of different things going on. It’s kind of hard to fit in documenting and sharing my life on social media these days. As you can see I am barely even writing anything on this space, well because of time limitations but mostly because what is even there to talk about? lol Anyway one day I had this bright idea of shamelessly filming myself to somehow show you guys how a simple day in my life is… and here it is. It was fun while it lasted but I have like 5% skills in video editing lol I hope I can be better…
