Halloween in Cayman Islands 2020 Anne, November 2, 2020March 9, 2025 Hey guys, you might have already read my post the other day about The Hallotober Tag. I mentioned there that I love Halloween because I like dressing up, going to parties, and having fun on spooky community events. Last year, I went on a Halloween party bus (with missions and games) and since then I’ve always looked forward to this years event. My costume was ready since the beginning of the year. Yes, that’s how excited I was! I even signed up on three events: Fright Fest: The Strand Block Party, Nightmare on Walker’s Road, and Dead On Arrival: All Inclusive Halloween Event. Finally, the wait is over! This year, I dressed up as… *drum roll please*… Sailor Moon! The Fright Fest is an annual event and has always been my favorite because for only $20, you get access to 4 venues in The Strand and they blocked off the area so it’s exclusive! Also, since it’s an annual event, people look forward to it and they make sure to flaunt their amazing costumes! My top favorites are: Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy (from Spongebob Squarepants); and Gaara and Kankuro (from Naruto)! Omg guys, Naruto made it in the Cayman Islands! I didn’t know these people watch asian anime! Nightmare on Walker’s Road is a pretty spontaneous decision I made since I didn’t pre-order tickets for it. By the time I arrived, they were letting in the last batch for the season! I made it by a hair! I was with high school kids mostly and younger ones trick-or-treating around the area. It’s the first time I’ve tried a “horror house” here in Cayman because it really wasn’t a thing. I know in the Philippines there are a lot of fun activities out there, but this thing is so new here that I got so excited I felt like I was doing it for the first time. Basically, it’s a empty lot with cargo containers and old creepy school bus that they decorated. You follow a pathway and get spooked by the actors as walk. Fee is only $10 and all proceeds go to charity. The event is sponsored by Home Gas and The Rotary Club. It was such a fun experience! Dead On Arrival: All Inclusive Halloween Event is last but not the least on the agenda this season. For $50, admission, full bar + shots, specialty drinks, and canape are included. The twist? It’s on a secret location and nobody knows where it is! The location was revealed shortly before the gates opened that same night. I definitely had fun dancing to songs, I haven’t been clubbing in a while. Since it’s a Saturday, the event ended at 12 midnight. So quick though! Just when we were about to get drunk lol. Nevertheless, it was a great afterparty and Halloween ender for me! So how was your Halloween? I know the rest of the world is still in lockdown but I hope you get to enjoy being with your friends and spook yourselves a little bit this year. Til next time!
